Dowjac Bassets's Mission The aim of any true- hearted breeder of "pure-bred" dogs is to improve the quality of that breed.  As such, our philosophy here at Dowjac is that "We only ever breed for quality, not quantity", so we do not have litters very often. We hope to show and encourage people to see the how wonderful a companion the Basset Hound is, and encourage more people to add a wonderful new member to their family and to realise that they are a family member for life.    Jim Dowell and John Vandenberg
